Cooker survey and new flue
A client Mrs S called us to survey for a cooker installation.
Whilst carrying out the survey we saw some major defects on a recent oil boiler installation. The condensate soakaway was fitted with no lime acid neutralising chippings and it was located tightly up to the foundations of the house. Additionally, the balanced flue was outputting right onto their cars.
The resolution was to locate the flue via the roof and to fit a new condensate pipe.
The pictures show the balanced flue in its cage, plus the uninsulated small white condensate pipe that is directed into the black soakaway. The new flue routed to the roof via the old original flashing and the new white indoor flue.
